Everybody knows that the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a well-known icon of Sydney. And since coming to Sydney, what have you accomplished to prove that you have witnessed this grand marvel of engineering?
Taken a picture in front of the bridge in Circular Quay? Check.
Go to one of the pillars and check out the view of the harbour? Check.
Scale the top of the arch and conquer your fear of heightss? Mm..maybe later.
Now, how about walking the length of the bridge from North Sydney to The Rocks…for free*?
The Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk is an annual event, and this year it’s celebrating its 75th anniversary! And PPMS is proud to announce that we have booked an exclusive 20 places for you to join us celebrate this historical event.
So, what can you expect? The bridge will be closed to traffic on 18 March 2007, and we will be walking a distance of approximately 3.6 km in length across the bridge. Our slot will be at 6.00 to 6.30 pm (won’t be too hot for us Malaysians..hooray!).
Hurry up and register with us by seeing any of our committee members, or email us at exco@ppms.org.au before Monday, 12th March 2007. Places are strictly limited!
*The walk is free. We’ll only need to pay for our transport.

We regret to inform all our members and prospective Sydney students that after a carefully weighed discussion, the Malaysia Hall authorities has informed us that the Hall has been fully booked for the 1st semester of 2007. No further application for this semester will be accepted. This was confirmed by Kak Nani as of 17 January 2007.
However, you may still apply for accommodation during the 2nd semester of 2007 and afterwards. The application would still be pending on waiting list.
PPMS would like to urge everyone to note that we are not affiliated with Malaysia Hall and the Hall is under the administration of MSDA. Therefore, please send any emails regarding application or bookings to the Assistant Warden at matnany@hotmail.com. We will not entertain any emails regarding those issues.

As of today, PPMS is premiering our new design for the website. It is currently still in beta version (testing), therefore some details are still being worked on. We will continue updating the website as time goes on, and we will do our best to aid our members and visitors with this new, clean design.
What prompted the re-design is the need to provide our members and visitors with concise information about student life in Sydney. We have taken consideration of comments and opinions on the old website, and decided to reward you: a proof that PPMS is from students, by students and for students.
Among the new design is the blog-styled front page where you can view the latest news and announcements about our activities. You can browse other pages through the menu in the top part, or by the site map on the right column. As among the only student societies that caters for Muslim students, we have also provided a new service, which is the prayer times from islamicfinder.org. We have also continued the chat board and mini poll which we thought do promote interaction between PPMS committee and our members, but more importantly, between all of you out there!
This new website encourages user participation, so you can start by leaving your comments on the new design below.
