Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk: 75th Anniversary
president March 7th, 2007
Everybody knows that the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a well-known icon of Sydney. And since coming to Sydney, what have you accomplished to prove that you have witnessed this grand marvel of engineering?
Taken a picture in front of the bridge in Circular Quay? Check.
Go to one of the pillars and check out the view of the harbour? Check.
Scale the top of the arch and conquer your fear of heightss? Mm..maybe later.
Now, how about walking the length of the bridge from North Sydney to The Rocks…for free*?
The Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk is an annual event, and this year it’s celebrating its 75th anniversary! And PPMS is proud to announce that we have booked an exclusive 20 places for you to join us celebrate this historical event.
So, what can you expect? The bridge will be closed to traffic on 18 March 2007, and we will be walking a distance of approximately 3.6 km in length across the bridge. Our slot will be at 6.00 to 6.30 pm (won’t be too hot for us Malaysians..hooray!).
Hurry up and register with us by seeing any of our committee members, or email us at exco@ppms.org.au before Monday, 12th March 2007. Places are strictly limited!
*The walk is free. We’ll only need to pay for our transport.
